  • Reproducible.-Key that shows if the problem is reproducible:

    1.- Yes, Always
    2.- Sometimes
    3.- Occurred just once

  • Status.- Indicates the general state of an error. Only certain status transactions are allowed:

  1. New: This error has been recently added to the error list and now can be processed. Errors in this status pass to the Assigned Status. If they are solved then can pass to the Solved status.
  2. Assigned: The error is not solved yet, it is in working process.
  3. Reopened: This error has been solved, but the solution was not satisfactory. Errors can pass to the Assigned o Solved status from this state.
  4. Solved. The errors has been solved, they can be Reopened and marked as verified, or closed and marked as closed.

  • Resolving State.- The resolving state is the characteristic that determines if the errors have or do not have a solution. Errors on the New or Assigned status have a resolving state of:

  1. Repairable:One definitive solution for the error is proved.
  2. Invalid:The described problem is not an error.
  3. Irreparable: The described problem is an error that never is going to be repaired.
  4. Pending: :The described problem is an error that probably can not be repaired in the current version of the product, maybe in the next versions.
  5. Duplicated: Duplicated. The problem is the duplicated of one existing. The error will be marked using a # indicating the number of times the error has been repeated.
  6. Not apply: This resolving state is used for those errors whose statuses are New or Assigned.

  • Seriousness.- The Seriousness field describes the impact of the error.

  1. Critical:The program terminates/stops running, losses of data, memory overflows.
  2. Largest: Large part of the program does not work.
  3. Minor: A small part of the program does not work, appears some contextual validation error.
  4. Trivial: The type of error is cosmetic. For instance: lack of some letter or word in a text, etc.

  • Priority.- This field describes the importance and order on which the error can be repaired. The priorities will come from the most to less important.

    1.- 1. P1 (The most important).
    2.- P2
    3.- P3
    4.- P4
    5.- P5 (The less important)
    6.-Not apply.

  • Platform.-Key that indicates over which platform the error was found. The valid values are:

    1.- All (the error occurs over all the platforms).
    2.- Windows 95.
    3.- Windows 98
    4.- Windows NT.
