The National Commission for the Knowledge and Use of Biodiversity covers a large diversity of databases for the purpose of organizing the creation and maintenance of SNIB. Thus, the database of Bombycoide Lepidopters of Mexico includes information of specimens of the Superfamilies Bombycoidea (Bombycidae, Saturniidae, Sphingidae y Eupterotidae) and Mimallonoidea (Mimallonidae) collected in more than 540 localities in México. The database contains 3 156 specimens corresponding to 4 families, 98 genera, 363 species and pertains to the SNIB.
