The National Commission for the Knowledge and Use of Biodiversity covers a large diversity of databases for the purpose of organizing the creation and maintenance of SNIB. Thus, the Reference Collection of Mexican Diurnal Lepidopters pertaining to the National Collection of Insects of the Institute of Biology of the UNAM contains 55 747 curatorial records corresponding to 4 families, 286 genera, 802 species of the Superfamily Papilionoidea (Papilionidae, Pieridae, Nymphalidae y Lycaenidae) collected in 1 048 localities in Mexico and pertains to the SNIB. |
