The CICIMAR-IPN Ichthyologic Collection can be considered as one of the most relevant ones in the ichthyologic field of the Mexican Pacific Ocean. It includes approximately 35% of the species recognized for our country.

The data base which belongs to SNIB has 5 530 registers corresponding to 128 families, 322 genera and 558 species collected in 358 localities.
