The National Commission for the Knowledge and Use of Biodiversity covers a large diversity of databases for organizing the creation and maintenance of SNIB.

For this collection, a group of trees native to Mexico was collected. It is suspected that they have biological qualities that make them potentially valuable for use in ecological restoration projects and environmental improvement of deforested areas, as well as for the reforestation of different regions in the country. The database covers 4 607 samples corresponding to 68 families, 172 genera and 240 species.
