The mission of the National Biodiversity Institute (INBio) is to promote a greater consciousness of the value of biodiversity to attain its conservation and improve the quality of life of the human being. To achieve these objectives, INBio, through a group of expert taxonomists conducts an inventory of its fauna in order to maintain systematized reference collections, updated and available to a wide community of users of its page and that of REMIB. Consequently, the participation of INBio in REMIB is very important since it enriches and supplements information related to the flora and fauna of Mesoamerica. The database of the Collection of Arachnids of the INBio has 654 records corresponding to 20 families, 50 genera and 69 species of spiders. |
