The database has information of specimens of the marine algae flora that is present along the northwestern coast of Baja California, that are grouped into three different taxonomic divisions: Chlorophyta (green algae), Phaeophyta (brown algae) y Rhodophyta (red algae).

This database has 2 070 curatorial registers, grouped in 53 families, 57 genera and 287 species collected at 50 localities and it belongs to the  SNIB .
