Satellite Images online

Conabio currently receives satellite images every day from the Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) of the NOAA satellites (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) and from the MODIS sensor (Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer) of the TERRA-1 satellite.

The AVHRR and MODIS images from July 2004 are available to the public. The files are compressed, to uncompresse them, use bzip or winzip. The images are calibrated, rectified and in the Generic Binary format little-endian.
