Achievements The outstanding activities and achievements of CONABIO are, among others: the creation of the World Information Network on Biodiversity (Remib), the automated system of heat points detection, the priority regions program for the conservation of biodiversity, the development of a BIOTICA information system, and the publication of more than 220 titles and research papers. Furthermore, CONABIO acts as the scientific authority of CITES and as the Focal Point of the Clearing House Mechanism, SBSTTA, GTI and other groups of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). |
